Vici is born to be a host! From the first messages online to a melancholic fairwell at the port of Serifos we had a wonderful stay in her beautiful studio. Having coffee and a great conversation on her terrace, Vici told us the story of her house (a fantastic architectural work with a modern, spacious floor plan and smart appropriation of local materials and building traditions) and how well Airbnb worked for her.

The Press
Huffpost, July 2016, How a writer built the homeliest Guesthouse on Serifos. The lovely house was a guesthouse, but it was a million miles from the ‘classic’ Greek ‘rooms for rent’. For lack of a better word, it was far more homely than that. In fact, its every little detail filled you with an irresistible desire to visit—and stay there forever.
100 Reviews so far SO good
Nous avons passé 2 semaines de rêve chez Vici. La maison est encore plus charmante que sur les photos. On se sent tout de suite à l’aise, comme à la maison. Idéale en famille, elle se trouve à quelques minutes à pied d’une jolie plage.
Long Story Short
Everyone, without a single exception, had a great laugh with my desire to build a small, stone built home and a detached guest-home in Serifos during early 1990s since brick is the easiest material for modern constructions. But it has happened as hoped. It was built by local artisans; with local stone. It was characterized as a prototype house for Cyclades and it was a low budget story that needed much tenacity and loads of personal labor. It has been more than 50 years since a stone house got built on the island, which is a rock in its entity.
The Writer’s Home
Nestled at the foot of the mounthill, a 3min walk down to the sandy beach, set on a lush landscape by a shady arbor with grape vines, juneberries trees, pomegranate, eucalyptus and olive trees, the writer’s home welcomes you to a place of peaceful respite. A real rural escapism overlooking the sailboats in the sea.
The Writer’s Guest-home
It is often called a nest and this was our vision. A 3min walk down to the beach Karavi, next to the lovely little hamlet of Ramos and a 15min walk from the Port. Accommodation includes a very comfortable double bed and a single bed suitable for a child, a fully-equipped kitchenette, a private bathroom with shower, a wind protected terrace
